JCC JumpStart Workshop at Pegasus

August 30, 2018

Pegasus Farm recently hosted a workshop for a group of educators from the Stamford JCC JumpStart program. JumpStart is a therapeutic early childhood classroom experience for 2-year-olds with special needs.

The focus of the Pegasus workshop was to discuss effective strategies for communicating with children with special needs and their families. As they always are, the horses were fantastic partners to our staff in demonstrating various topics related to nonverbal communication, herd dynamics, desensitization and other therapeutic techniques. Rosie and Violet were especially entertaining as they showed off their best drop-and-rolls in the arena!

Many thanks to the staff at JCC JumpStart for spending time with us, and we hope you enjoyed the workshop!
