In Memoriam: Elizabeth W. Foulk February 27, 2015
We are saddened to share news of the passing of Elizabeth W. Foulk, a longtime volunteer and former board president of Pegasus.
Betty joined Pegasus not long after our founding, and for the next four decades, she shared her many talents with us. She served as chapter chair of two Greenwich locations and led the planning team for our permanent home, Pegasus Farm. An extraordinary volunteer, Betty not only helped in program, she assisted with fundraisers, newsletters and our beautiful friendship garden at Pegasus Farm.
In recognition of her many contributions to Pegasus and the community, Betty received a number of volunteer awards. In 2001, she was named Outstanding Volunteer of the Year by The Volunteer Center of Southwestern Fairfield County. In 2003, Pegasus named Betty the 2003 recipient of the Peggy & Bill Larned Award for Most Helpful Volunteer. In 2008, PATH International selected Betty as the Region 1 Volunteer of the Year.
Betty was beloved by many and will be deeply missed. Our deepest condolences to her husband, Bill, and their family.
