Equine Experience DaysEquine Experience DaysOVERVIEW OF EQUINE EXPERIENCE DAYS: Equine Experience Days provide horse-focused experiential learning to the special needs population. The therapeutic benefit of horses has been widely recognized. It is our goal to offer holistic, empowering and enriching activities all centered around the restorative power of horses with complementary horse-focused activities including gardening/nature, art and music. Team building, self-esteem, self-confidence, and empowerment are meaningful benefits of this holistic approach to our equine experience days. HORSES: Each day participants will have unmounted Hands-on-Horse time. Through the restorative powers of the horse, participants are able to discover their own strength and healing through experiential learning. Recognizing emotions and working towards emotional agility will help participants manage their emotions in a positive and healthy way. GARDENING AND NATURE: There is nothing more powerful than the great outdoors. Participants will experience getting their hands in the soil through gardening, both planting and harvesting, as well as spending time grazing their horses and walking on the sensory trail. Fresh air, the warmth of the summer sun, and our beautiful scenic farm will allow for developing a deeper connection with nature. MUSIC: Participants will explore and find their inner musician through participatory music with a focus on connection and comradery. Their music will be shared with the horses of course! Date and Times: Please note that participants must be:
