Please read the following important information before completing a request form:
The Rider's Closet was created to help equestrians who need help acquiring riding apparel. We provide only equestrian-specific clothing; we do not provide "regular" street clothing.
The Rider's Closet is staffed entirely by volunteers and managed by the Pegasus communications director. Due to high volume, it takes a minimum of two weeks to fill a request. Boots are always in demand, and ladies' tall boots and paddock boots in sizes 7-10 are by far the most commonly requested type.
We currently maintain a "backorder" list for boots and any other items we do not have at the time of the request. As new items are donated, we check the backorder list for matches and send them to the people who have been waiting the longest. Riders may remain on the backorder list for up to six months, after which they must resubmit their request if the items are still needed.
All items are shipped via UPS, free of charge. Due to the high cost of international shipping, we are only able to ship within the United States. To ensure clear communication, requests must be sent in writing by mail, email or fax. Requesters are welcome to call our voicemail number with any questions they may have, but we cannot take requests by phone. Our volunteers will respond to all requests and/or voicemails as soon as possible.
